The Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) population 1/ increased from 376,430 in 1970 to 823,318 in 2010. That was an increase of 118.7 percent.
The foreign-born (FB) population increased from 27,086 in 1970 to 189,975 in 2010. That was an increase of 601.4 percent. The foreign-born share changed from 7.2 percent to 23.1 percent.
The share of the overall population that was native-born (NB) increased by 81.3 percent.

The second chart shows the same data but with an adjustment to reflect births to immigrants shifted to NIM. In it, NIM replaced B-D as the primary factor adding population in all periods.
