The foreign-born (FB) population increased from 2,085 in 1970 to 58,880 in 2010. That was an increase of 2724.0 percent. The foreign-born share changed from 0.5 percent to 8.1 percent.
The share of the overall population that was native-born (NB) increased by 52.8 percent.

The first chart below shows the three population change factors for three periods adjusted for annual average amounts. In it, domestic migration (NDM) was the primary factor in population increase in the first period, and B-D in the most recent two periods.
The second chart shows the same data but with an adjustment to reflect births to immigrants shifted to NIM. In it, NIM became the major factor in population increase in each of the two most recent periods.
