The foreign-born (FB) population decreased from about 32,000in 1970 to 12,161 in 2010. That was a decrease of 62.0 percent. The foreign-born share changed from about 4.8 percent to 2.1 percent.
The share of the overall population that was native-born (NB) decreased by 12.3 percent.

The first chart below shows the three population change factors for three periods adjusted for annual average amounts. In it, natural change (B-D) was the chief factor adding population in the first period, and NIM was the sole factor adding net population in the most recent two periods.
The second chart shows the same data but with an adjustment to reflect births to immigrants shifted to NIM. In it, the position of the population change factors was unchanged.
