The foreign-born (FB) population increased from 8,114 in 1970 to 89,320 in 2010. That was an increase of 1000.8 percent. The foreign-born share changed from 1.1 percent to 7.4 percent.
The share of the overall population that was native-born (NB) increased by 58.1 percent.

The first chart below shows the three population change factors for three periods adjusted for annual average amounts. Natural change (B-D) was the primary factor in population increase in the first and latest periods, while NDM had that place in the second period.
The second chart shows the same data but with an adjustment to reflect births to immigrants shifted to NIM. In it, NIM replaced B-D as the principal factor adding population in the most recent period.
