The Gulfport-Biloxi-Pascagoula Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) population 1/ increased from 239,944 in 1970 to 370,702 in 2010. That was an increase of 54.5 percent.
The foreign-born (FB) population increased from 2,554 in 1970 to 15,341 in 2010. That was an increase of 500.7 percent. The foreign-born share changed from 1.1 percent to 4.1 percent.
The share of the overall population that was native-born (NB) increased by 49.7 percent.
